Georgia, Offer Deshaun Watson Now

I really hope that the powers that be in Athens are paying attention to this kid that plays just a short 40 minute drive from Athens. UGABlog is going to do a spotlight on this sophomore recruit in a few weeks, for now, just take a look. The kid can play! He will be one of the top rated players in the nation in 2014!

Here's a snapshot of Gainesville High School's Deshaun Watson so far this season.

Through 9 games, here are his stats:
Passing: 118/197, 1900 yards, 25 TDs
Rushing: 65 carries, 451 yards, 7 TDs
(Keep in mind that he usually only plays the first half each week because they have 9 blowout wins.)

Not to mention the kid is at least 6'2", 190lbs already...in the 10th grade!

Will Alec Ogletree Move To Backer

Alec Ogletree is probably the prize recruit out of the 2010 class for UGA, but what position will he play for the Red & Black? I tend to agree with Coach Grantham's analysis when he said the coaches would just have to wait and see the kid on the field. That's a no-brainer, but I still think we will most likely see Ogletree turn into an outside backer much like Thomas Davis did when he turned pro.

I have already read the comparisons between the two players, and many recruiting services already have Alec at 6'3", 220lbs. I'm sure he could be near 230lbs by the time next season rolls around. If UGA is only going to have three scholarship players at a hugely important position like outside linebacker, I vote we make the switch if the kid looks like he can help us at that position.

Safety or linebacker, it gets me all giddy inside just thinking about the prospects coming in this summer, and I can't wait to see what kind of product Grantham puts on the field in this 3-4 scheme.

Da'Trick "ME" Rogers

OK, so he's a teenage kid...get over it, right? I will get over it, I just felt compelled to write a little blurb about the issue of decommitting.

Future recruits: If there is any shadow, hint, thought, inkling, glimmer, flickering of doubt that you will stay true to your committment......DON"T COMMIT EARLY.

Now, it's out of my system, and I wish the best of luck to all of the immature boys out there that can't stand true to their word.

Bacarri Rambo thinks it's messed up how UGA high school commitments back out on the Dawgs: "I'm telling you now when I catch you on the field I'm going to knock fire from you."

What more would you expect from Rambo!!!!
