First let's take a look at Quan Bray as he interviews for his commitment to the Auburn Tigers.
Next, let's take a look at the newest addition to the UGA recruiting class, Jay Rome.

Rome starts interviewing at about the 1:00 mark.
I don't know about you, but I am glad that UGA appears to be recruiting guys that can at least speak in complete sentences we are able to understand.
This is nothing more than additional evidence that Auburn has become Thug U.
I couldn't find the Malcolm Mitchell commitment video from last night, but he is also a well spoken young man that seems to have his head on his shoulders. (Thanks to Jack in the comment section, here is the link to Mitchell's commitment)
Auburn, good luck with your newest "WAH IGUH BAYBEE, WAH IGUH".

National Championship baby baby.
ReplyDeleteI am probably in the minority of fans here, but I can honestly say: I would rather support a team full of high character individuals that finishes at 6-7 than a 14-0 squad filled with thugs.
ReplyDeleteI hope that I can raise my kids to look up to the guys on the teams they cheer for.

ReplyDeletemitchells commitment video
I have to say that Rome seems to have a good head on his shoulders and how can you not like a kid like Mitchell who had a chance to do this on national tv, but instead wanted to commit to his school of choice in front of his friends and family at a local restaurant in his hometown. That is someone who doesn't seem to have the big head full of himself and I can gladly say welcome to the Dawg Nation.
ReplyDeleteTotal agreement with Andy Colemans commment above!! GO DAWGS
ReplyDeleteThanks Anon. Also, I completely agree about loving the kids that try to keep a low profile on the recruiting stage. In today's new media age, it's nearly impossible to stay out of the spotlight.
ReplyDeleteThe collective IQ from the entire collection of Quan's family would not equal that of a bird. Family pride aside, these "people" radiate idiocy. I would feel sorry for them but I don't suffer fools very well.

wah iguh baybee.. i heard that the moment he said it.... Auburn. Where uga recruits go who cannot qualify, and who need the money NOW rather than later
ReplyDeleteReally? I'm sad Quan Bray went to Auburn, but don't bash a young man and call him a thug just because he was excited about Auburn. Let's try to hold to a higher standard. Shame on us.
ReplyDeleteAnon, don't say "us" if you're talking about me. I'm not on your team if you think the kid is an upstanding citizen. Go do a little research, and talk to people that know/teach the kid. Then come tell me what a great non-thug he is.
ReplyDeleteWait, what am I even saying? NOWHERE in my blog did I call anyone a thug. I did call Auburn Thug U though.
I guess opinions are kind of like b-holes....you know the rest.
I don't know enough about Bray to say anything about him personally. I believe we put far too much into recruiting, as these are unproven 17 year old kids. I know, as someone from rural Georgia, that the way someone speaks doesn't say everything about them.
ReplyDeleteBut, with all that said Andy Coleman is right. UGA parting ways with Witchett tells me enough about Georgia football's priorities. As does not oversigning, as does not disowning players after they have a season ending injury like other schools do.
I do know that it is not always right to judge a book by its cover. That being said, I also know to run from rattle snakes as soon as I see/hear that rattle. Just saying. Plus, most of these kids are 18 or 19 already (behind in school). Especially the less articulate ones.

ReplyDeleteSo what you are saying is y'all recruit good kids and turn them into thugs that get arrested while at uga and AU recruits thugs and turns then into good men, 0 arrest. Never have seen an AD arrested in the SEC with strange women, panties, drunk and out late at night while his family is at home. Cant see how you can throw stones at another program about being thugs when you are the thug school from top to bottom
ReplyDeleteIf you "can't see" why I say things about other programs when my alma mater had so many off the field issues, then you probably didn't read when I bashed UGA lawbreakers, and called for dismissals of many. Guess what Richt did? Booted the thugs.
ReplyDeleteMan, nice of all the bama fans to take time to comment on Auburn videos..We appreciate your support ;) 28-27. amanda vanderpool model
