Everybody has their opinion of the weak points for this year's Bulldogs. From day one when I learned the news that the Dawgs were switching to a 3-4 defense, I have known that the linebacker positions would be key.
Today I learned that Akeem Dent will be out for the next 4-6 weeks with a toe injury. This news really concerns me since we are already fairly slim at that position. The key is going to be staying healthy from here on out, and hopefully some of these young guys can step in and pull their weight as young backers. Obviously there is a big difference between the inside and outside backer spot, but maybe some switching will be necessary.
Will Richard Samuel make his presence known? Can freshmen step it up? Was UGA right in giving a full ride to the Vasser kid out of Hall County? These are all questions that I can't wait to find out the answer to come this fall!

Smell The Fresh Cut Grass In Athens
I have virtually taken all but a few days off from posting UGABlogs for the past 6 weeks. We all know how bad of a time June and early July is for us eager college football fans. I got married, went out of town 4 times, and just spent great times with my family and friends.
The only sad part is that I didn't really chime in on the Damon Evans disaster, MORE UGA player arrests, and a few other rumblings from the Dawg realm (How 'bout that Isner?).
Meanwhile, that grass inside of Sanford Stadium is getting ready for the beginning of the Decade of the Dawg come September! I for one CANNOT WAIT! I know that if you are spending 30 seconds out of your day to read my rants, you are most likely in the same boat as me.
All this being said, I'm ready for some football, and to start posting daily Dawg blogs again!
This is my parents new RV, and my trip to Jacksonville to watch the Dawgs start a new winning streak!

Vegas Thinks The Dawgs Are Pretty Good
I took my first trip to Las Vegas this past week. No man should wait until he is 30 to take this trip like I did. WOW. I am certain I could spend a month on the Vegas Strip and not see everything they have to offer. The funny thing is, I don't even like to gamble....EXCEPT on college football, lol.
The Odds Makers in Vegas have the Dawgs in the Top 15. I trust them a hell of a lot more than ESPN, or any other sports publications for that matter, when it comes to ranking teams.
Take a look at the odds board inside the Excalibur Casino. The odds were about the same in every casino I visited.

Say It Ain't So: A Drunk Red Elephant In Atlanta
That's right, I said Elephant, not Dawg. I am embarrassed by the news I just read, so I am calling Damon Evans by his high school alma mater today, and not as the HEAD of the Dawgnation Athletics Department. What goes through these high profile people's minds when they drive around drunk?
