Get Behind Aaron Murray Bulldawg Nation

The stage has been set, the players are in place, now let's get behind the rising leader of this team and show him the support of the whole Dawgnation! Whether you like it or not, the job of leading this team has officially been won by redshirt freshman, Aaron Murray. Ask any good quarterback in college or the NFL, and they will tell you that they must be respected and seen as the leader of their team in order to be successful.

So, to all Bulldawg fans who truly want to see the team succeed at the highest level; throw all of your indifference's out the door and let's give this kid our full support. Aaron Murray, listen to Coach Richt and realize that the foundation is SOLID. All you have to do is go out there manage the game, and help limit the teams' turnovers! Don't be afraid to get in a running back's face and make sure he knows the importance of ball security. Don't hesitate to pump up the best receiver in the country and push him to his limits so he can make that HUGE 3rd down reception! Don't fail to point out the fact to your AWESOME O-line that we only need 3 inches on 4th & short down in Jacksonville.

Rise up Dawgnation! Let's start the DECADE OF THE DAWG!

  4. Anon 11:47! That is mostly what I am talking about! It's scary how much chatter says exactly that! You are kidding I assume, but many people want to focus on a kid that hasn't even suited up for his senior year of high school football yet. I hope Lemay has the tools to come in and wins 4 straight SEC championships at UGA, but for now, let's win one or two with Murray by golly!

  6. I agree that the entire Bulldawg Nation needs to support Murray. He's got enough on his plate without having to hear a bunch of crap from the fans. He's the guy, it's time to support him come hell or high water.

  8. Aaron Murray needs to work hard. He is way behind, coming in here with a leg and ankle injury, and then missing 21 practices all last Fall because our Offensive Coaching Staff allowed him to throw his arm out. For a guy who has never taken a snap under center in his lifetime, he has a big learning curve ahead of him playing in The SEC where The Georgia Bulldogs in the last 4 years against The SEC East have gone only 10 wins 10 losses. He is small at 198 lbs. He is short at barely 6 feet, if that. And, he is not particularly fast at 4.7 in the 40-yard dash. In the 3 scrimmages, as a result, he threw the most interceptions of all the quarterbacks and threw the fewest touchdown passes. The G-Day Game also showed us 5 more fumbles by this team, again.

I don't have any problem getting behind Aaron Murray, but in 2006 when we were in this situation of having no quarterback ready, we lost 4 games. In 2009, when we were in this situation again of having no quarterback ready, we lost 5 games.

Now, 2010 for the 3rd season starting 2006, we have no quarterback ready. How many games do we lose ? Do we lose at South Carolina at night on the road in The SEC and drop to 10-11, a LOSING RECORD against The SEC East then the last 5 years ?

Even with our great Defense this up-coming season and it is going to be a defense we can all be proud of, and even with the 2 best kickers on any team in America, and even with the 10 returning starters on Offense, this team is 10-3 or 9-4 in 14-game seasons nowadays.

We have not sniffed The SEC Championship game since 2005. This is 2010. No one considers Georgia a contender this year, either.

Next year, we lose 14 seniors after this season and 5 juniors, all starters.

We are in a period of decline and if you think you or we are doing little Aaron Murray a favor to build up his head when he is not beginning to be ready, then this season will be a disappointment to you at 10-3 or 9-4.

It is what it is. We put ourselves in this position at Quarterback,

    again.
